Goals

In addition to providing education programs tailored to the needs and situations of international professionals, the International Public Policy and Management Institute also strives to achieve these objectives: Building an extensive formal partnership with universities and government entities abroad to promote global education opportunities at UK

  • Providing support for the curricular activities of UK faculty and students within a global perspective
  • Enhancing exchange student programs or internships abroad
  • Generating research funds for UK graduate students and scholars
  • Supporting joint faculty research and travel opportunities abroad
  • Supplementing seminars and workshops related to foreign countries
  • Providing a focal point for interaction and exchange on topics of common interest between the UK community and the political, economic, and businesses circles abroad
  • Promoting the University and the state of Kentucky to foreign countries for future academic and business relationships
  • Serving the UK community and the people of Kentucky by acting as a resource for information on foreign countries

As it develops, IPPMI will not only provide quality education to international professionals; it will also offer foreign experiences to the people of Kentucky as well as to UK faculty & students. The Institute fosters links between the UK community and the state of Kentucky and universities and government abroad to build a global network in Kentucky.
