The Martin School Book Club has announced the 2025 selection: Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City by Matthew Desmond.This book sheds light on the intersection of housing, poverty, and public policy—topics we can’t wait to explore together in-person and virtually. The two meetings for this year will be during the weeks of March 24th and 31st, depending on participant availability. Joining the club is free and open to all.

The Martin School of Public Policy and Administration at the University of Kentucky is announcing big changes in 2025. With a planned move into UK’s newly renovated Miller Hall this summer, the school is in a prime position to expand its leadership and vision with a new director, Spiro Maroulis, Ph.D., starting this fall.
In November 2024, Ian Vansteenbergh became one of Kentucky’s youngest-elected city council members! Ian credits the Martin School's public policy program education to be a practical and powerful path for students to turn their passions for leadership, service and advocacy into careers that make a difference right now AND after graduation.
