Taha Hameduddin, Assistant Professor, Martin School of Public Policy and Administration, spoke to UK's Research Advisory Group meeting last month about “What Matters Most? Examining Self-selection into Public Service Jobs and Its Implications for Workforce Diversity” for the Government portion of the event. The introduction to this portion of the event was given by another stellar Martin School Faculty: Dr. Annelise Russell, Assistant Professor.
MPA student Brett Gillispie is on his way to a prestigious fellowship opportunity with the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Graduate Fellowship Program (NGFP). He's already on track to complete his master's degree May 2024. Following an event held here discussing federal government fellowships, Brett took the initiative to apply and was selected! Brett explained to us that he, "...will be working as a part of their congressional and intergovernmental relations team in Washington, D.C."

During the University of Kentucky’s 2023 May Commencement, the Martin School of Public Policy and Administration will celebrate the first full class of undergraduates to earn a bachelor’s degree in public policy.
The Martin School of Public Policy and Administration has received a generous donation to establish the Miriam Jane Van Dyke Barager Endowment for Diversity and Inclusion that will focus on giving students a better understanding of these issues as they prepare for careers in public service and civic leadership. The program is made possible by Judy Barager-Kemper, a Martin School alumna, and her family, and is named in honor of her mother.
Today, U.S. News and World Report released their annual college rankings. The hard work of our faculty and staff resulted in national recognition as we are ranked 29th among all Public Affairs program, 4th in Public Finance and Budgeting, and 29th in Public Policy and Analysis.
