On September 20, 2019 The Boone National Guard Center in Frankfort hosted an annual Korean War commemoration ceremony and Dr. Kim helped bring an official from the Korean government.
Chonbuk National University news, along with other national news outlets reported that Chonbuk and University of Kentucky signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to for ongoing research collaboration and student exchange programs.
