International Public Policy and Management Institute Martin School Professor Doo Oak Kim Facilitates Exchange Agreement between Korean University and UK
Chonbuk National University news, along with other national news outlets reported that Chonbuk and University of Kentucky signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to for ongoing research collaboration and student exchange programs. The agreements were brokered between Chonbuk President Dr. Dong-won Kim and UK Vice President for University Relations Tom Harris, along with additional stakeholders including Martin School Associate Professor and Director of International Public Policy & Management Institute, Dr. Doo Oak Kim. The agreement was signed on August 2nd, 2019.
Chonbuk National University is similar to UK with a student population of about 30,000 and “is one of the state's leading universities with a total budget of 4 trillion dollars,” reports CBNU news.
Exchanges between the two Universities may include student, faculty and staff exchanges, as well as, “agreement for joint research in engineering, biotechnology, and agricultural life,” reflecting the shared strengths of UK and Chonbuk National U.
