Martin School Graduation Reception

Join us on Thursday, May 4th to celebrate our newest Martin School graduates! All students graduating this year are encouraged to attend and be recognized. We will have light refreshments and a photographer, plus a super brief program to acknowledge our graduates' achievements. Families, partners, and children are all welcome.

Four Martin School students visit D.C. over spring break, participate in SEC in DC

This spring break, a group of students in UK's Student Government Association traveled to Washington D.C. to participate in SEC in DC, a conference where student governments from SEC schools network and advocate on behalf of their students' interests. UK students got to meet with six of Kentucky's eight Congressional delegation, including staff from Senator McConnell's office. Two first-year students, Logan Justice and Siena Pilati, submitted policy briefs to be considered for the opportunity, and were both chosen to represent UKSGA.

Dr. Karida Brown Lecture and Book Discussion

Dr. Karida L. Brown, Professor of Sociology at Emory University, will visit the University of Kentucky campus to discuss her book, Gone Home: Race and Roots Through Appalachia

Martin School Annual Frankfort Trip

Learn more about careers in and around state government while networking with professionals and Martin School alumni. Students will tour the capitol building and meet with various policy professionals, including the Legislative Research Commission, Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, members of the Governor's staff (budget, communications), and the Kentucky Center for Statistics. Undergraduate Hunter McCormick's work with Government Accountability Office (GAO) gets published

After successfully completing an internship with the Government Accountability Office (GAO) in summer 2022, Hunter McCormick's ('23) work has paid off. On January 23, 2023, a report he contributed to during his time with the GAO was officially published.
