After successfully completing an internship with the Government Accountability Office (GAO) in summer 2022, Hunter McCormick's ('23) work has paid off. On January 23, 2023, a report he contributed to during his time with the GAO was officially published. Hunter worked as a Management and Program Analyst within the GAO's Forensic Audits and Investigative Services division. His team of analysts took a wide variety of project requests from members of Congress directly and as mandated by bills. This particular project looked at cases of unemployment fraud and made recommendations to combat this fraud. Much of his analysis and graphics are present in the final report, highlighting his top-notch research skills and high quality of work.
