Huntertown Community Service Project

In fall 2022, students from PPL 306 - Ethics and Civic Leadership, partnered with the Huntertown Community in Woodford County as a class service project to research the history of how public policy decisions have affected the community. As part of their project, students visited the Huntertown Community Interpretive Park and spoke with leaders from the Friends of Huntertown Community Interpretive Park, a nonprofit devoted to preserving the important history of the Huntertown community.

Kentucky State Capitol

In spring 2023, students from the Martin School's undergraduate and graduate programs visited Frankfort to learn more about careers in state government and network with policy professionals and Martin School alumni. Students met with the Legislative Research Commission, Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, Kentucky Center for Statistics, and the Governor with some of his staff, plus sat in on a Senate Education Committee meeting.
