Brett Gillispie MPA '24 accepts prestigious graduate fellowship with National Nuclear Security Administration

MPA student Brett Gillispie is on his way to a prestigious fellowship opportunity with the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Graduate Fellowship Program (NGFP). He's already on track to complete his master's degree May 2024. Following an event held here discussing federal government fellowships, Brett took the initiative to apply and was selected! Brett explained to us that he, "...will be working as a part of their congressional and intergovernmental relations team in Washington, D.C."

Examining Attraction to Public Service Jobs and its Implications for the Future of Public Service Abstract Although issues of capacity and expertise/competence had long plagued public service organizations, they were exacerbated by the pandemic and its lingering effects. Specifically, U.S. state and local governments have struggled to effectively retain talent, attract younger job seekers, and build out an age-diverse workforce.
