On Tuesday, October 8th, 2024, the Martin School of Public Policy and Administration hosted its 10th Renewal of the Wendell H. Ford lecture. This year’s speaker was presidential historian, Douglas Brinkley. The program was titled “Reflections on the 2024 Presidential Election” and was attended by an audience of 265 people.

The event featured Brinkley’s historical observations followed by a panel discussion that further connected the history of the past to the history that is sure to be made with the upcoming Presidential Election. In addition to Douglas Brinkley, the panel was led by journalist Al Cross as moderator, Dr. Annelise Russell (Associate Professor in the UK Martin School), and Dr. Stephen Voss (Associate Professor in the UK Department of Political Science).

The Wendell H. Ford lecture is a free annual event for community members and students to attend, thanks to generous sponsors and alumni.
