Dr. Wenchi Wei to Tsinghua University as an Associate Professor

Dr. Wenchi Wei, Martin School alum will be joining the Tsinghua University School of Public Policy & Management as an Associate Professor! Prior to his move in spring of 2024, he taught at Renmin University, also in China. Both of these are exceptional achievements, and we're always thrilled to hear that our alumni continue to shape the world of public policy scholarship.

Taha Hameduddin, Assistant Professor, Martin School of Public Policy and Administration, spoke to UK's Research Advisory Group meeting last month about “What Matters Most? Examining Self-selection into Public Service Jobs and Its Implications for Workforce Diversity” for the Government portion of the event. The introduction to this portion of the event was given by another stellar Martin School Faculty: Dr. Annelise Russell, Assistant Professor.

Undergraduate and master's students from the Martin School visited the state capitol to meet with public service leaders and learn more about careers in state government.

Brett Gillispie MPA '24 accepts prestigious graduate fellowship with National Nuclear Security Administration

MPA student Brett Gillispie is on his way to a prestigious fellowship opportunity with the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Graduate Fellowship Program (NGFP). He's already on track to complete his master's degree May 2024. Following an event held here discussing federal government fellowships, Brett took the initiative to apply and was selected! Brett explained to us that he, "...will be working as a part of their congressional and intergovernmental relations team in Washington, D.C."
