Lexington, KY — October 13, 2025 — The University of Kentucky proudly celebrated the Grand Opening and Building Dedication of a new shared academic home for the Martin School of Public Policy and Administration, the Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce, and the Henry Clay Center.

The celebration brought together a distinguished audience of supporters, donors, faculty,  and community leaders who have championed the missions of these three educational entities. Together, they commemorated the creation of a space designed to strengthen partnerships, expand opportunities for experiential learning, and inspire the next generation of policy and diplomacy professionals.

The ceremony featured remarks from Dr. Robert S. DiPaola, Provost of the University of Kentucky; Mayor Linda Gorton of Lexington; and Dr. Eric Monday, Executive Vice President for Finance and Administration at the University of Kentucky. Each speaker highlighted the transformative potential of this collaborative endeavor and its role in advancing the University’s land-grant mission of serving Kentucky and the world through education, research, and public engagement.

By bringing together expertise in policy, international affairs, and civic education under one roof, this partnership embodies the University’s forward-looking approach to preparing students for leadership in an increasingly interconnected world.
