Job placements: Had first students graduate with the BA in Public Policy in 2022-23
Grayson Blount is attending medical school at East Tennessee State University.
Henri Neblina is completing a master's in public policy and management at Carnegie Mellon.
Olivia Corley is completing a master's in criminology at University of Pennsylvania
Hunter McCormick started his position as Project Delivery Analyst at Deloitte.
Alli Johnson started her position as Community Outreach Specialist at Bluegrass Greensource.
Andrew Laws started as a Legislative Correspondent for the U.S. House of Representatives, KY-05 in DC.

Simon Turner ('24) completed an internship with the KY Council on Postsecondary Education (CPE)
Zach Owen ('24) interned in Senator Jon Ossoff's DC office through the LGBTQ+ Victory Institute Congressional Internship program
Olivia Raybourne ('24) has been interning with the Kentucky Association of Counties (KACo)
Emma Regens ('25) interned with Baker Group Strategies in Nashville
Brooklyn Niravong ('24) has been interning with GRC Advising, a consulting firm
Siena Pilati ('26) is interning with CivicLex
Erin Mann ('25) interned with Crown Homes Real Estate, focusing on real estate law
Anamei Walli ('26) is interning with UK Healthcare as a Sustainability Intern
Jack Reynolds ('24) was accepted into the Legislative Research Commission spring internship program
Research
Three sophomores (Siena Pilati, Lauren Spencer, and Anamei Walli) were chosen for the prestigious Chellgren Fellows Program, an extracurricular professional development program which prepares students to do undergraduate research as well as apply for nationally competitive awards.
Leadership and Service
Brooklyn Niravong (’24) was chosen for the Henry Clay Center College Congress representing her home state of South Carolina in summer 2023
Four students are leaders in the Student Government Association (SGA): Brooklyn Niravong – Director of Campus Safety, Siena Pilati – Director of Campus Services, Logan Justice – Director of Assessment and Economic Inclusion, and Gabi Franzone– Director of Event Management
Freshman Mary Claire Smith was selected for SGA’s Leadership Development Program in fall 2023
Ian VanSteenbergh ('25) was selected to serve as Civic Engagement and Government Relations Coordinator for SGA
Three PPL students (and one MPA student) participated in SEC in DC in spring 2023, an opportunity which sent them to DC to lobby KY representatives with student governments from across the SEC (Logan Justice, Siena Pilati, and Andrew Laws; Cameron French, MPA ‘24)
Gabi Franzone ('25) was elected the Leadership Chair for Kentucky Panhellenic for 2023-24
Extras!
A large group of undergraduates visited the state capitol in February 2023 and networked with policy professionals from state agencies, the Governor's office, lobbying organizations and more!
Six undergraduate students studied abroad this year - in Italy, Hungary and Croatia, Cyprus, France, Scandinavia, and the Czech Republic!
Students from Ethics and Civic Leadership hosted a very successful policy roundtable on campus parking in fall 2023
