Congratulations! Brett Gillispie MPA '24 accepts prestigious graduate fellowship with National Nuclear Security Administration Wilmore native wins highly selective opportunity in US national security enterprise
MPA student Brett Gillispie is on his way to a prestigious fellowship opportunity with the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Graduate Fellowship Program (NGFP). He's already on track to complete his master's degree May 2024. Following an event held here discussing federal government fellowships, Brett took the initiative to apply and was selected! Brett explained to us that he, "...will be working as a part of their congressional and intergovernmental relations team in Washington, D.C."
We couldn't be more proud of him for taking the initiaive and winning this highly selective and amazing opportunity. Opportunities like the NGFP are critical to both for supporting the growth and development of professionalism for the nation's most serious national security programs, but also for any career inside the beltway. Getting a security clearance, or simply the time and invitations to network with Washington insiders will create valuable networking moments and open innumerable career opportunities.
Perhaps even better for the Martin School than one of our own earning this opportunity, is that Brett says he, "[would] love to be a resource in whatever way I can be if any current or future Martin School students are interested in this fellowship." We'll take him up on that.
