Data and Evidence class presents data visualizations during Data Walk

Students in PPL 401 - Data and Evidence in Public Policy presented their data visualization projects this April. Topics were very diverse and included higher education, drug policies, zoning laws, reduction of firearm-related crimes, and more.

Main Street Clean Sweep Celebrate Earth Day by cleaning up campus!

Bluegrass Greensource needs your help this Earth Week for our eleventh annual Main Street Clean Sweep. UK's Martin School is hosting a cleanup on Tuesday, April 16th at 3 - 5 p.m. starting at Willy T Young Library.   

2024 Graduation Reception

Join us on Thursday, May 2nd to celebrate our newest Martin School graduates! All students graduating this year are encouraged to attend and be recognized. We will have light refreshments and a photographer, plus a super brief program to acknowledge our graduates' achievements. Families, partners, and children are all welcome. The Martin School will induct Jim Host into the Kentucky Public Service Hall of Fame, and Kate Shanks will be recognized as a Distinguished Alumni.

What Matters Most? Examining Attraction to Public Service Jobs and its Implications for the Future of Public Service Abstract Although issues of capacity and expertise/competence had long plagued public service organizations, they were exacerbated by the pandemic and its lingering effects. Specifically, U.S. state and local governments have struggled to effectively retain talent, attract younger job seekers, and build out an age-diverse workforce.
