I knew that working in the DOJ was something I really wanted, so I tried to seek out people in the city who either currently work or previously interned in the Justice Department. The knowledge and advice I gained really helped me craft my application and ultimately get here! I have gotten tremendous exposure to the legal process, legal research and writing, and trial procedures throughout my internship. It has been really fascinating getting to see the concepts I learn in classes connect to real careers."
Earning academic credit
PPL 399 - Internship in Public Policy
Current public policy majors and minors can earn up to three hours of PPL 399 credit per semester for their internship experience. The earned credit hours varies depending on total work hours in the internship. Students will work with the Director of Undergraduate Studies and their internship supervisor to complete an internship contract before they start working.
