Non-profit Certificate

The Graduate Certificate in Non-Profit Management is designed to provide skills to support students and professionals leading, directing and managing organizations in the nonprofit sector.  The certificate can be obtained as a stand-alone degree or it can be integrated as electives for our Masters programs.  Contact Rhonda Trautman, director, for more information

Curriculum:  Students are required to complete 12 credit hours fully online, which includes three core courses and one elective.  These courses follow the standard academic calendar (16 weeks) and are also taken by MPA students. 

Fall: PA 661 Financial Management for Nonprofit organizations and PA 642 Public and Nonprofit Orgs Theory and Behavior

Spring: PA 602 Strategic Planning for Public and Nonprofit Organizations

Electives (choose one): PA 662 Nonprofit Management or PA 663 Grant Planning and Management

Tuition and Student Visas

Certificate students pay the in-state tuition rate when enrolled in fully online courses; please note that admission and enrollment in a fully-online program can NOT lead to the issuance of a J-1 or F-1 student visa.  Per state laws, distance education courses and programs must be legally authorized in a state prior to offering courses or programs to students residing there.

Requirements for admission

Students are required to have a 2.5 GPA and submit your transcript, a CV or resume and a personal statement

Applications for the Non-Profit Certificate are only accepted for the fall or spring semester.
